And now, a new theory going viral claims Gojo’s defeat was always part of the plan.

As we know, the battle between Sukuna and Gojo was intense and pushed Gojo to his limits. Ultimately, Sukuna completely overtook Megumi’s body, and Gojo was forced to use his power at the highest level. However, the battle ended when Gojo was killed by Sukuna. The King of Curses split Gojo’s body in two, and the struggle for the jujutsu society continued. However, a new theory put forward by Baeli on X (Twitter) has fans intrigued.
The theory essentially asks whether Gojo’s defeat and supposed death were planned. The crux of the theory is based on Sukuna underestimating Yuji. The curse is not much bothered by its old vessel, and this works in Gojo’s favor. After all, the sorcerer has always seen Yuji as a potential equal, and this desire to be the strongest was emphasized to Gojo long before this battle began.
After Gojo’s ‘death’, Sukuna made his mockery of Yuji quite clear, and things have been tense since then. The boy entered the battlefield with Higurama by his side, and Higurama had the perfect domain ability to stand against Sukuna. Now that Yuta has cornered Geto-Kenjaku, all eyes are on Yuji’s hidden power. And if this theory is correct, then the boy’s hidden power has the ability to defeat Sukuna and save his allies.
