Demon Slayer quickly became one of the world’s largest anime series in record time. The story of Tanjiro and Nezuko first started in 2016 in Weekly Shonen Jump and soon reached a level where manga sales could surpass Eiichiro Oda’s masterpiece, One Piece. With the fourth season of the anime adaptation coming in 2024, the shonen series is preparing to celebrate its fifth anniversary. Although Tanjiro doesn’t have many anime seasons left, there are still some big moments on the way.
The fourth season of Demon Slayer promises to adapt the Hashira Training Arc, which will bring together the strongest members of the Demon Slayer Corps as the series finale approaches. The fourth season will start on the small screen in April of next year, while a feature-length film titled ‘Demon Slayer: To The Hashira Training’ will also be released, entering cinemas in February. As with the series’ previous film, this movie plans to offer fans a preview of what awaits the Demon Slayer Corps by combining the final episodes of the Swordsmith Village arc with the first episode of the fourth season.”
Demon Slayer Turns Five
The upcoming anniversary event for Demon Slayer will take place on March 9-10, 2024, at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo. It will feature a series of activities and attractions for anime fans. A new poster not only brings together the stars of the third season but also places the anime heroes in appropriate attire for the celebration. Since the anime adaptation plans to get much darker before it ends, the Demon Slayer Corps might need every moment they can get to celebrate.
When we last left Tanjiro, Nezuko, and their friends, they were in the Swordsmith Village Arc of the Demon Slayer series. In this arc, the Demon Slayer Corps managed to defeat some of the most powerful lieutenants of the Demon Lord Muzan. Additionally, Tanjiro witnessed an incredible event where it was revealed that Nezuko could survive in sunlight, making her the first demon capable of doing so. While this is definitely a power for Tanjiro’s sister, it now puts her in the sights of Muzan, who desires nothing more than to overcome this great weakness of the demon kind.
