Black Clover Manga Confirms Return Date

It feels like years since Black Clover left its weekly schedule. Earlier this year, Shonen Jump bid farewell to the magical manga as Jump Giga took over the reins. It’s been months since we’ve seen either head or tail of Asta, but that is about to change. After all, a new chapter is on its way from Jump Giga and is set to be released at the end of December.

Black Clover

For those out of the loop, Black Clover has been out of action for months. Earlier this year, there were announcements confirming Black Clover’s move from Weekly Shonen Jump to Jump Giga. This major shift meant Black Clover would only publish four chapters a year, a significant change from its previous weekly release. Naturally, readers are eagerly anticipating what Black Clover has in store.

It appears that the creator, Yuki Tabata, has been quite busy. Jump Giga is set to publish Chapter 369 of Black Clover on December 25th. This chapter will comprise 28 pages, including several in color. For fans in Japan, the Jump Giga magazine will come with a special Black Clover poster celebrating the return. Clearly, the magazine is very excited about the addition of Asta’s team.

So far, we don’t have an idea of how much longer Black Clover will continue, but we hope that Tabata has a better work schedule now. There’s no way around the challenges that come with publishing a weekly manga. From One Piece to My Hero Academia, some of the best series in manga have faced production issues multiple times due to their weekly publication. Tabata admitted that the grueling work-life balance was what pushed him to publish Black Clover quarterly. Now, fans are ready to see how this change has helped Tabata, so expectations for Chapter 369 are high.

If you haven’t caught up with Black Clover yet, you have a few weeks to get prepared. You can find the Black Clover manga on the Manga Plus app. For more information about Tabata’s series, you can read the official synopsis below:

“In a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are found abandoned at the same church on the same day. While Yuno possesses extraordinary magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any. At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder’s magic. Asta’s grimoire is a rare Anti-Magic Grimoire that negates and repels his opponent’s spells. Being opposite but good rivals, Yuno and Asta are ready for the toughest challenges to achieve their common dream: to become the Wizard King. Giving up is never an option!”
